The Explorer Page

Explorers are the youngest members of our company from school years R-2 (aged 5-8 years). They follow the n:vesitgate programme for stories, games, things to make and do, learn new skill and join Gabby & Barney for lots of fun.

 

The Explorer section is run by Rachel Hickman & Vicki Boba with help from Wendy Southwell

Explorers meet on Wednesday's from 5:30-7pm at Trinity Church

 

Uniform: Explorers wear

  • Red polo shirt with GB crest
  • Navy hoodie with GB logo
  • Navy Joggers or Navy Skort 
  • Plimsoles or trainers 

 

We suggest they wear trainers or plimsoles so they can join in all the fun and games during the evening. We also suggest hair is worn tied back for health and hygeiene reasons when doing some cooking or messeir activties. 

 

Recent Activities and Badges;

Education Badge: They took part in the National music festival, playing hand bells and sung in the choir with older members of the company. 

Service Badge: Looking at our world and their part in keeping it special by recyling, reducing and reusing waste.

Physical Badge: Potted sports help develop a range of skills include hand and eye co-ordination, balance and general fitness.

Spiritual Badge: THe story of Noah's Ark, making puppets and learning songs.   

 

Each week they take part in a range of activties and games which help them to grow and develope different skills.

 

We are pleased to welcome new members aged 5+ to join in the fun and activties.

Auturm Term Half Term 2018

 

We are having a break for half term on Wednesday 24th October 2018

 

We will be back on 31st October an have a special evening making lanterns for this years Totton Christams Lantern parade in December.

   New Members Welcome

 

We are delighted that in recent months we have recuited a number of new members and we now have a company of approx 30 girls - there is room for a few more, especially in school  year R and 1  for our Explorer section.
