The Explorer Page

Explorers are the youngest members of our company from school years R-2 (aged 5-8 years). They follow the n:vesitgate programme for stories about Gabby & Barney, games, things to make and do, learn new skills and join in activities for lots of fun.

The Explorer section is lead by Rachel & Danielle

Explorers currently meet on Wednesday's from 6pm-7pm at Trinity Church: We wear the following uniform to show we are an Explorer and protect our own and school clothes from getting too messy!

Uniform: Explorers wear

Red polo shirt with GB crest
Navy hoodie with GB logo
Navy Joggers or Navy Skort
Plimsoles or trainers

We recommend they wear trainers so they can join in all the fun and games during the evening. We also suggest hair is worn tied back for health and hygeiene reasons when doing some cooking or some of our messy activties.

Each week they take part in a range of activties and games which help them through informal learning to grow and develope different social, personal, physcial and practical skills for which they receive Pin Badges, which they can display on their own Badge Bag.

For every year at least 4 pin bagades / activties are completed, Explorers receive a Star Award, Bronze for year 1, Silver for year 2 and Gold for their 3rd year to add to their Badge Bags. Take a look at some of the pictures below of our acitivties and achievements.

We encourage Explorers to where the badges on their Badge Bags, to celebrate their acheivements.

The bags can also be used to store memo's from GB, membership cards, sweet money and any other small items, useful on a Girls' Brigade evening.
