The programme may include activities such as craft, singing, dance, cooking, drama, discussion, music, first aid & camping etc, depending on their age and older members work towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards. When an activity has been completed, the girls will receive a badge they wear on the Badge Bags.

"Girls Brigade offers a place to come and spend time with people you may not usually have a chance to meet. It's an opportunity to make new friends and relax together, learn new skills and have a laugh while you're at it! The activities we do are entirely suited to each age group, ranging from simple crafts to team building challenges and the older groups have a chance to complete their DofE with lots of guidance all the way; From all our leaders and the lessons we learn from the bible.
Over the years for me, our Wednesday evenings have become one of the highlights of my week and I love to come and find out what is in store for us each session. GB is relaxing, enjoyable and social with lots of chances to try some new things - I would recommend it for everyone". Nikki Young Leader
"GB, a wonderful place to spend Wednesday evenings. Release the stress from a hard day at school with an amazing hot chocolate made by fantatic staff at 1st Totton Girls' Brigade. The people are very supportive and take part in all the events that are offered to them such as the music festivals and competetions.
I went along to the National Music Festival to join in the singing. The other GB & BB companies that took part were outstanding however, I knew we were even better as aresult winning three trophies! Another event which I took part in was Camp. Camp is the best place to be during your school holidays. I think of it as a massive sleepover with lots of fun activties going on in the day.
On a Wednesday evening, we play games, chat to our friends and run around doing sport but the main thing is we have fun" Isobel Senior
